Everyone encounters difficult times, and if you're visiting us here today, you are motivated to do something about it.

At Carter Clinical Counseling, we use a person-centered approach to empower you to build the confidence and skills to overcome the obstacles you are facing. Using empirically-supported treatments, we will help you to select the right strategies and tools to get you feeling like you again.

Whether you are trying to overcome depression, anxiety, struggling with grief, or having relationship issues, we are here to help.

My name is Elizabeth Carter.

I am a graduate of North Dakota State University, receiving a masters degree in Clinical Psychology (M.S., 2012) and another in School Counseling (M.Ed, 2014). I have been a licensed (LPC) and credentialed (NCC) counselor since 2014. I have experience working with children and adolescents in a K-12 setting, college populations, and adults. I have worked as an inpatient counselor, but my primary focus is outpatient mental health. When working with clients, I often utilize a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approach.

In my free time, I like to travel, drink coffee, attempt to cook & garden, and most importantly spend time with my spouse and pets.
